This is a pleasant and comfortable country town hotel located in Haslemere High Street with its own spacious car park. The food is good as is the service. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The stay was relaxed. The garden at the rear is attractive and most pleasant on a sunny day.
The lounge area for residents is fragmented and not sufficient for the number of rooms/residents. I fear this has been a secondary consideration when the conference facilities were laid out.
The staff smiled and were pleasant and helpful whenever I asked anything.
Staff very helpful and very polite at all times nothing was too much of a bother
Staff were very helpful - we were allowed to book-in an access our room upon arrival at 11-30am!!
There was a function on the Saturday night with resultant noise until around 1.00am in the morning, meaning that lack of sleep was a problem.
I travelled with my 2 kids and husband. clean hotel, quiet place, big, comfortable rooms, not luxury but I was satisfied if one understands that in england hotels are quite expensive for what they offer compared to spain.
The location of the hotel in this beautiful, traditional town was perfect for us. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. Use of the pool was a bonus although limited access times for children (8-10 & 3-5) made it impossible for us to swim & have breakfast. Lovely cafe opposite was the solution, with excellent breakfast menu! Our room in the modern part was perfect for our needs - I wonder whether rooms in the original building would have had noise from the road. We would definitely use the hotel again if we needed accomodation in the area.
On the whole it was ok and in a very good location.
It could really do with updating and decorating, it was all a bit worn. The continental breakfast to the room was a bit sad. They need to pay more attention to detail, I would pay an extra 10 or 15 just for this extra attention.
We had a large attractive and comfortable room with an excellent TV and adequate en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. We did not, unfortunately have time to use the leisure centre as we stayed only one night. We thought the hotel was good value for money.
loved the shower, the food was very good.
HATED the coffee - that needs reviewing, coffee is a very important part of the whole holistic approach to staying away and bad coffee is just inexcusable nowerdays. One of the staff members was unfriendly but then no-one in the UK seems to smile anymore. the decor needs more care, a beautiful building ruined.
The room was comfortable and clean. The location was central and within easy reach of the town.
The hotel seemed to concentrate on functions and business not on couples. I cannot comment on the standard of food as I ate within the town but the menu seemed adequate and of a standard content. The bar area seemed to be an after thought with no area to create atmosphere.
I have stayed here a number of times. It was extremely cost effective which was what I was looking for. This meant however breakfast was not included. It would be even better if it had been.
Lovely garden, private parking, onsite leisure facilities
Leisure Centre staff were quite abrupt, private party was very loud on Saturday night
The staff were friendly & helpful. It was also ideally located.
The room smelt very strongly of damp, which was overpowering. I think it came from the bathroom which had mould on the ceiling. The window to the room was open when we arrived so staff are clearly aware of the problem. We were in room 43, though I have no idea whether the other rooms were the same; I noticed quite a few windows open around the exterior of the building. The decor was also very dated and the communal areas in desperate need of a refurb.
The swimming pool there is nice
The room was not very clean. There was rubbish in the toilet rubbish bin when I arrive the hotel. The decorate in the room was a bit old.
My room was not checked before we arrived. 1 the television ariel cable was broken it had to be replaced. 2 three light bulbs had to be replaced. 3 we were given the wrong bill for your room on checking out.
